Best Piece of Predator Gear to Date

This jacket is basically a perfect piece. Only missing pit zips. 17oz. in size Small. Very similar to Kuiu Kenai. My Kenai is 14oz. in size Small, and body mapped insulation. Otherwise they are basically the same jacket. Can't believe I waited so long to try this piece, but I'm sure glad I did. I'll be taking it as a layering piece on most whitetail hunts.

Great job Predator, let's see more modern pieces like this one! Would love if you made some airstream 3/4 length full side zip pants to complete this set. Also would love to start seeing some higher side zips on the outer layer pants like stealth micro fleece and g2 so we can get them on over boots.

MUST HAVE IN EVERY PACK

I hunt in some pretty rough country and sometimes I go way back to get away from people. So lite weight is key. I’m not a fan of soft coats in the woods but after getting this coat it never leaves my pack unless I’m wearing it and washing it. It so lite and it folds into its own hood. You won’t even know it’s there. You can’t take this coat through a bunch of blackberry bush’s but if you wear this under another coat you will be so warm you won’t believe it. I wish it came in a few different colors, but that’s my only complaint. I’ve taken this coat all over the world from hunting to back country hiking to fishing to snowboarding and everything in between. It’s incredible. Buy it, you won’t be cold again lol.

Almost perfect

Super light. Super compact. Super warm. The absolute best mid layer. Would have gotten 5 stars but only comes in 1 patten.

Finally

Finally, Predator got it right with ultra light weight and superior level insulation. This piece is perfect for layering and is light and compact to stuff in a backpack when not needed. Stika has a rival with this piece, not to mention the pattern blows theirs in the weeds. Now to get one in Fall Gray....hint hint.

follow up review

This a follow up review to the one i did last Christmas. Now that the Ky deer bow season has officially kicked off i can review the jacket as an outer layer vs a layering jacket only. Opening morning was 53 degrees. I wore a performance tee and this jacket only. The jacket was fantastic in this temp. As the morning warmed up to the mid 60's it was still spot on and not to warm to remove. I find that wearing a heavier jacket in the morning causes the need to remove as the morning heats up. Lotta excessive movement on stand taking off a jacket. No need to remove with this Air Stream jacket. The material is soft and breaths well so there is no excess sweat as the morning warms up. The jacket is a very nice addition to my early season clothing and will be used even more as the early days of October approach with their temp being right there in the 50-60's. Just wanted to follow up with a review after having actually used the jacket as intended as a light weight outer layer. Spot on for what it is for and the temp rating is very accurate. I said in first review and will reiterate again, dont go dragging yourself through briers wearing it or start playing with your cat, Crash, as it will get snagged and pull threads out. Nice job Predator. I like the jacket even more now than i did last Christmas when using it as a mid level layering item.
